For those on a healing path…
Cultivating a domestic sanctuary is excellent support! When we are fully-functional, in a rejuvenating & inspirational space, we can make the most of living in These Times.
Whether home-owner or renter, when you dial-in your daily experience of being at home, you are supported in all other areas of life. I help you find your way to your best domestic sanctuary, through practical dialog and projects that help clear your domestic river. Eventually we get to a place where you and your household are more highly functioning and enjoying the spaces you live in everyday. Some theory, all practice. In the weave of your life, may your home hold you as a Beloved would.

Calling in new clients for 2025
After over 20 years of optimizing and beautifying people’s spaces, beginning in design and as a tradesperson - and later as an organizer and eventually as a project manager for home renovation projects, Mya is crystalizing her offerings in 2025 as The House Therapist. While home renovations are big, involved, and expensive (and for home owners), a home-makeover most modestly begins with conscious decluttering (available to anyone trying to just function in their home in a good way). 2-4 hour work sessions are the backbone of finding your way back to domestic sanctuary. If it’s time to tackle those forgotten rooms, buried under years of “I’ll deal with it later,” this is an excellently practical way to get started. Some spaces only require one session, and much can be accomplished or even finished in three. BY FAR the most economical way to get closer to your domestic sanctuary experience.
Home Renovations Don’t Have To Be Traumatic.
Some smart exploration, in advance of a potential project, makes all the difference for achieving a satisfying project outcome. Especially when resources are limited, it pays to be thoughtful about how best to use them. Much more than your basic contractor/designer consultation, the Fairygodmother Report helps you understand the scope of your desired project, prioritize the various elements, see different levels of solutions, and to get a sense of how feasible/responsible it all might be (and how long a runway you need to prepare). Whether a facelift or a full remodel, give yourself the gift of empowered decision-making, whether or not you contract with us to make the project happen, or you decide not to do it. Before you break ground, know what you’re getting yourself into.
Visit our sister-site for The Metamorphosis Group, for more information on the projects we’ve stewarded, how we work, and getting into the calendar. Like everyone, we have capacity constraints, and can only schedule a limited number of large projects in a calendar year. Quality over quantity! Our clients tend to repeat, as we move through the house over the years, so thinking ahead is important. For full-gut bathroom or kitchen projects, it sometimes may take the better part of a year to pull all the pieces together. Early sessions with The House Therapist prepare the way for a well-thought-out project, making the most of precious resources, in an expeditious way.
The Sacred Domestic has been alive in Mya since she was a small child. She’s been in people’s homes and closets for a long time, and has developed her own version of “home-medicine” after transforming countless spaces for 40 years. The home is central to her personal regeneration, the way she orients against the rigors and pulls of the marketplace, and the realm she has focused most of her personal & professional life on. She works below the surface layers of conceiving a project and getting it done. The alchemy of a home makeover is profound medicine, for those who resonate with the Sacred Domestic.
The rubber really meets the road when design visions must be implemented in the actual space, so the Sacred Domestic is firstly: Fully- Functional. Beauty then comes from the process of discovering what you really want/need, what gives you kinesthetic delight every time you step in to make coffee. Mya writes down her musings sometimes, based on that rubber, meeting the road.
